Ryan Seacrest's Alleged Stalker Is Charged

Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr. is expected in court today. He's facing felonies that include showing up at the E! Entertainment studio where Seacrest was working and attacking one of his bodyguards.

A restraining order petition filed by Seacrest's attorneys says Uzomah was carrying a knife. This is Uzomah's second brush with the law related to his apparent Seacrest obsession. He's on probation after pleading guilty in September to assault, battery and carrying a switchblade knife. That's from when he tried to meet Seacrest at an event and attacked one of his bodyguards.

The charges were all misdemeanors. An Army spokesman says Uzomah could be disciplined by the Army and may be considered "absent without leave" or AWOL. But, he's presumed to be innocent and the Army is waiting to see what happens in civilian court.
